More Than You Ever Wanted To Know

This blog was created for smart, stylish, and witty women. Girl-Woman-Beauty-Blog stays plugged-in so you don't have to. The beauty intelligentsia track and test beauty products and fashion trends without any ulterior motives and without regard to brand influences. The abiding philosophy of Girl-Woman-Beauty-Brains-Blog is that they are passionate about beauty from the inside out.

The beauty intelligentsia shops in many different worlds: From very, very tight budgets to more relaxed budgets. Together, they will show beauty and fashion aficionados where to shop and what products they will want to use in 2009 at all price points.

Members of the Beauty Intelligentsia:

The Working Girl, twentysomething Jamie, ACE, ACSM Personal Trainer/Fitness Specialist is the editor-in-chief of  Girl-Woman-Beauty-Brains-Blog.  Graduating college in 2004 with a degree in kinesiology and a minor in health education, Jamie worked as a personal trainer in health clubs and the private sector for four years, but her passion was always in beauty and fashion. Currently she is employed in the retail industry.

Mother Blogger, fiftysomething, and daughter of The Working Girl Jamie, believes intelligence is more sexy than any beauty product, although she continually gets sucked in by every gift with purchase at the beauty counter. Mother Blogger was a court reporter for 30 years and if she told you everything she knew, she'd have to kill you. She is in the process of writing a tell-all book, but it will have to be published posthumously.  Her fashion sensibilities were derived from Nancy Drew, the courageous but laid-back blue-eyed, blond sleuth who always carried a flashlight, occasionally carried a gun, drove a blue convertible at high speeds, broke and entered, trespassed, all of this while wearing smart suits, matching hats, gloves, handbags, and in later books, a sporty and preppy sweater or blouse and skirt ensemble.  Her education includes degrees in court reporting, psychology, and business; and graduate studies in marketing and counseling.

Ladies,
This is my first time on your site (and interestingly I was not able to use sherrie@sherriemathieson.com (my own website) as I was told it was already taken--how can that be?
I love your site and philosophy --as we are absolutely kindred spirits. Please check out my site, and my books "Forever Cool" and "Steal This Style" (both Random House) They are truly right up your alley!.
I'd love to link to your site. Perhaps you'll feel equally about mine. I contribute to Boomer Girl as their "Intelligent Woman's" style consultant. Check out my podcasts with Cathy Hamilton --we're about due for another very soon!
Best,
Sherrie
